After-School Programs

The Plainfield Area YMCA provides quality after-school programming to over 260 children at our Y site and six local public schools.

With both a homework and recreational component, our after-school programs promote educational and social growth. These after-school programs work with children ages 5-13. Children enrolled in any Plainfield Area YMCA after-school program swim once a week in our indoor heated pool, learn Karate and are also automatically eligible to participate in our Youth Fitness Program throughout the week. These programs are expanded to full day programs through our Summer Day Camp. 

Rates for After-School Programs for 2009-2010 are as follows:

FEES

     $70.00 per week for one child

     $67.00 per week for two children

     $65.00 per week for three children

Extended Care

     $10.00 per week per child

Evening Bus Service

     $25.00 per week & $20 for each additional child

Registration Fee

     $30.00 per child

Youth Membership

     $30.00 per child

Holiday Camp (held at the Plainfield Area YMCA)

     $127.00 per week for members

Summer Day Camp

From the end of June through August, children enrolled in the Plainfield Area YMCA Summer Day Camp create relationships and have experiences that will last a lifetime.  Social and educational growth is encouraged through interactive activities and weekly trips taken throughout the Summer.  

Summer Camp 2010 information was as follows:

CAMP HOURS 8am-5:30pm (extended hours available)

Before & After Care: 7am-8am & 5:30pm-6:30pm for $10/week per child

Traditional Camp: Ages 5-12 years old

Teen Camp: Ages 13-15 years old

CIT Program: Ages 16-18

Summer Camp is $140/week for ages 5-15 years olds

Our CIT Program is FREE for those who interview and are chosen!!

$30 registration (will be waived if registering before June 4, 2010) & $30 membership fee

Teen Camp is discounted $100 if teen is registered by June 11, 2010!

10% discount for each additional child

Drop Off at home is available for an additional $25/week

POSITIVE AMERICAN KARATE

AGES 3- 17 YEARS

Building strong minds and bodies.

 Karate builds confidence, self esteem and respect. Students will become physically fit, focused and have fun.

Saturday 1pm to 2pm (In studio A)

Class Prices

Members $50.00 per month*

Nonmembers $80.00 per month*

Uniform $30.00

*Prices cover an eight week session.
